Our client is a global leader in high-tech solutions for the industrial, medical, and aerospace sectors. They are currently seeking an exceptional Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead its global operations.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in translating strategy into seamless execution across the Group’s international footprint.
The Role
The Chief Operating Officer serves as a key architect of the Group’s operational resilience.
This individual is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day business functions, ensuring that global manufacturing, supply chain, and product development processes are optimised for growth.
The COO will lead a diverse executive team to maintain the highest standards of quality and efficiency, particularly as the company expands its presence in the IoT and AI-driven sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Excellence: Overseeing global manufacturing and supply chain operations to ensure the timely delivery of high-performance embedded systems and IoT solutions.
Strategic Execution: Converting the Board’s long-term vision into actionable operational plans, ensuring alignment between product innovation and market demand.
Performance Management: Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement in productivity, cost management, and customer satisfaction.
Quality & Compliance: Maintaining rigorous quality standards, including aerospace and medical certifications, ensuring all facilities meet international regulatory requirements.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Bridging the gap between technical engineering, sales, and corporate functions to foster a culture of accountability and innovation.
Expansion & Integration: Managing the operational aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and the scaling of new international subsidiaries.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate is a seasoned operational leader with a track record of managing complex, high-tech manufacturing environments.
They will possess:
Expertise: Extensive experience in a senior leadership role (COO or similar) within the technology, electronics, or industrial automation industries.
Vision: A deep understanding of the IoT and AI landscape, with the ability to navigate the challenges of rapid technological shifts.
Leadership: A proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary, international teams with a focus on mentorship and professional development.
Analytical Rigour: Strong financial acumen and the ability to use data-driven insights to optimise complex global operations.
