Our client is a leading civil engineering contractor with an established reputation for delivering complex infrastructure projects across the UK.
Due to strategic expansion and a strong pipeline of upcoming awards, they are seeking to appoint a Commercial Director to lead their commercial function based in London.
The Role
Will take full commercial responsibility for the business unit across London and the South East, managing senior commercial staff and reporting directly to the Board.
Will oversee financial performance, governance, risk management, and commercial strategy across a major portfolio of civil engineering schemes.
Will build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, joint venture partners, and supply chain stakeholders.
Will drive robust procurement practices, change management processes, and dispute resolution strategies to ensure margin protection on all contracts.
The Person
Will be degree-educated (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management, ideally holding MRICS or CICES status.
Will possess a proven track record of commercial leadership within a main civil engineering contracting environment.
Must have extensive, demonstrable experience working with NEC3 and NEC4 forms of contract, including Options A, B, C, and D.
Will demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities, commercial acumen, and strong negotiation skills.
