Principal Pipeline Engineer
Base Salary: £85,000 – £100,000 (Dependent on experience)

Our client is a leading international engineering consultancy with an established reputation for delivering complex energy and infrastructure projects across the UK and international markets.
In response to continued growth and increasing investment in energy transition infrastructure, they are seeking an experienced Principal Pipeline Engineer to provide technical leadership and support the development of their pipeline engineering capabilities.
The Role
Will lead and oversee pipeline engineering activities across complex energy and infrastructure projects, providing technical direction from feasibility and concept design through to detailed engineering and delivery.
Will undertake and review pipeline design, hydraulic calculations, route assessments, material selection and technical specifications, ensuring compliance with relevant engineering standards.
Will provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary engineering teams, supporting the development of pipeline solutions across gas transmission, hydrogen and wider energy infrastructure.
Will work closely with senior leadership to develop client relationships, identify new business opportunities and support the continued growth of the consultancy’s pipeline engineering capabilities
The Person
Will ideally hold a degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a closely related technical discipline.
Will offer significant experience in pipeline engineering and design within an engineering consultancy, energy, oil and gas or major infrastructure environment.
Will possess strong technical knowledge of pipeline systems, hydraulic design, engineering standards and project delivery, ideally with exposure to hydrogen transportation or emerging energy technologies.
Will be an accomplished technical leader and client-facing professional, capable of leading engineering teams, managing complex technical challenges and contributing to business development and strategic growth.
