Salary: 1,800,000 ZAR – 2,000,000 ZAR per annum (DOE)

Our client is one of Europe’s largest compressor manufacturers and exports to over 130+ countries with a strong international service network. To fuel the continued expansion of their Global Sales Function, they are seeking a high-calibre Country Manager/Sales Director to spearhead operations across South Africa and key international markets.

In this pivotal position, you will be responsible for Leading the development and implementation of strategic plans to achieve business objectives in the South African compressor market as well as overseeing the entire country operation, including sales, marketing, finance, and operations.

The Role

We are seeking a strategic Country Manager/Sales Director you will craft and implement the roadmap for their South African compressor business to exceed long-term objectives.

Oversee all localised operations, including Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain, to ensure seamless business delivery
Identify and capitalise on emerging market trends to diversify revenue streams and capture new business opportunities
Lead, mentor, and empower a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability and alignment with global corporate goals
Build and inspire a world-class team, guiding their professional development and collective success
Cultivate and maintain influential relationships with key accounts, strategic partners, and industry bodies
Market Intelligence: Monitor the competitive landscape and industry shifts to maintain a proactive and dominant market position

The Candidate

We are seeking a strategic powerhouse with a proven ability to drive market expansion and navigate the South African business landscape through high-level stakeholder engagement and expert negotiation.

The ideal candidate blends technical credibility with robust financial acumen and exceptional communication skills to execute growth initiatives and lead complex operations with decisive authority.

At least 7 years of significant experience in a senior management role, demonstrating a sophisticated leadership style
A proven track record of driving measurable business growth and successful market expansion
Deep experience within industrial technology; specific knowledge of compressor technology or related applications is highly advantageous
Exceptional capabilities in strategic planning and the hands-on execution of complex business goals
Natural ability to cultivate and maintain high-level relationships with key stakeholders and partners
Masterful command of the English language, both in written reporting and verbal presentation
