The Opportunity

Our client is a globally recognised leader in the electronics and manufacturing sector. They are continuing to strengthen their international procurement function and are seeking an experienced Category Manager based anywhere in the US.

The Role

As Category Manager, you will take full ownership of global and regional category strategies for electrical components, ensuring the supply chain remains resilient, cost-effective, and scalable.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and execute end-to-end category strategies that maximise fiscal efficiency and operational stability
Lead high-value procurement initiatives, conduct rigorous performance reviews, and build enduring strategic partnerships
Proactively navigate supply chain volatility, addressing trade disruptions and regulatory hurdles with agility
Harmonise global supply and demand by acting as a bridge between key business stakeholders and technical teams
Ensure 100% compliance with technical specifications through robust contract management and vendor evaluation

The Candidate

We are looking for a commercially astute professional who thrives in a fast-paced, global environment. You should possess a data-centric mindset and the interpersonal “gravitas” to influence at all levels.

Requirements:

A proven track record in category management within the electronics manufacturing sector (North American market experience is essential; international experience is a major plus)
Exceptional ability to lead high-level negotiations and engage stakeholders across diverse cultural and geographic backgrounds
Skilled in using analytical methodologies to optimise procurement spend and evaluate supplier performance
Comfortable navigating the complexities of a global corporate structure, including managing projects across multiple time zones
Fluent and persuasive communicator; while not required, proficiency in multiple languages is highly regarded
