Our client is a leading Construction contractor based in the US and have a reputation for delivering high profile projects to an exceptional standard. Due to the next phase of strategy, they would like to appoint a Head of Construction.
They are seeking a dynamic and highly accomplished construction executive to assume the pivotal role of Head of Construction, Americas.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a senior leader to propel their career to the next echelon, taking ownership of a diverse and complex portfolio of construction projects across the Americas region.
The successful candidate will be a decisive, strategic leader responsible for overseeing all construction activities, ensuring the successful execution of projects to the highest standards of safety, quality, budget control, and schedule adherence.
This executive will play a critical part in shaping the company’s construction strategy and operational excellence within the region.
The Role
• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the regional construction strategy, driving process improvements and operational efficiency across all projects.
• P&L Oversight: Assume responsibility for the P&L and financial performance of the Americas construction division.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and expand a high-performing construction team, fostering a culture of accountability and safety.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary construction representative with internal executive teams, external partners, and key stakeholders.
The Person
• Executive Ambition: This role is perfectly suited for an individual ready to elevate their career, moving from a senior Director or VP role into a true regional leadership position.
• General Contractor (GC) Expertise: Mandatory experience operating at a senior level within a major General Contractor firm in the USA market is essential. Candidates from leading international firms with significant US presence, such as Skanska or Balfour Beatty, would find this role an excellent fit for their experience.
• Operational Excellence: Proven track record in managing large-scale, complex construction projects from concept to completion.
• Location: Must be based in Florida or willing to relocate, serving as the strategic hub for Americas operations.
