Our client is a leading US General Contracting firm specializing in diverse commercial, residential, and industrial projects.
They are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Director to join their leadership team.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully overseeing complex, multi-million dollar construction projects from conception to completion, with a particular focus on hospitality or airport capital projects.
This role would suit a seasoned construction leader who is currently with a large GC to add value to an up and coming GC.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a portfolio of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Provide strategic direction and mentorship to project managers, site superintendents, and project teams.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Oversee all phases of project management, including bidding, contract negotiation, scheduling, budget management, and risk mitigation.
Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, building codes, and company policies.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Minimum of 10+ years of experience in project management within the US general contracting industry.
Demonstrated experience leading large-scale projects ($50M+) is essential.
Experience in delivering hospitality or airport capital projects is highly preferred.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Asta Powerproject, Microsoft Project).
