Our client is seeking an experienced Managing Director to lead a dedicated business unit specialising in the delivery of 132kV power projects. This is a senior leadership role within a larger group, offering the opportunity to shape strategy and drive operational excellence across high-value infrastructure works.

About the Role

Lead, develop, and inspire a multidisciplinary team to deliver complex power projects safely, on time, and within budget.
Oversee all aspects of business unit performance, including commercial, operational, and financial outcomes.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and supply chain partners to ensure successful project delivery and repeat business.
Champion a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across all activities.
Report directly to the Group Board, contributing to wider business strategy and growth initiatives.

About You

Proven track record in managing large-scale power construction projects at 132kV or above, with a deep understanding of the UK energy infrastructure sector.
Strong commercial acumen and experience in P&L responsibility, business development, and contract negotiation.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and deliver results in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Comprehensive knowledge of UK construction regulations, health & safety, and industry standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and motivate teams at all levels.
Degree-qualified in engineering, construction, or a related discipline is desirable.
